How to Measure Your Nails for the Perfect Fit
Finding the perfect fit for your press-on nails is essential for a natural look and comfortable wear. Follow these simple steps to measure your nails accurately and ensure your Shellina Nails fit like a dream!
What You’ll Need:
- Method 1: A flexible measuring tape or a soft ruler (in millimeters)
- Method 2: A small piece of paper, a pen, and a straight ruler (in millimeters)
Method 1: Measuring with a Soft Ruler
- Prepare Your Nails: Start by cleaning your nails to remove any polish, oils, or residue. This will give you the most accurate measurements and help your press-on nails adhere better.
- Hold the Measuring Tape/Ruler: Place the flexible measuring tape or soft ruler across the widest part of your nail, which is usually around the middle of the nail bed.
- Measure in Millimeters: Note the measurement in millimeters (mm) from one side of your nail to the other. Be precise!
- Record Your Measurements: Write down the width of each nail on your paper, labeling them from thumb (1) to pinky (5) for both hands.
Method 2: Measuring with Paper and a Straight Ruler
- Prepare Your Nails: As with Method 1, start by cleaning your nails to remove any polish, oils, or residue.
- Cut a Small Piece of Paper: Cut a thin strip of paper, about 1 cm wide and a few centimeters long.
- Mark the Width: Place the paper across the widest part of your nail. Use a pen to mark the edges of your nail on the paper.
- Measure the Paper Strip: Lay the marked paper flat and use a straight ruler to measure the distance between the two marks in millimeters (mm).
- Record Your Measurements: Write down the width of each nail, labeling them from thumb (1) to pinky (5) for both hands.
